Anh Nguyen researches how hiring, payroll, and compliance rules shift, often unpredictably, from one labor market to the next, and how much of that complexity gets hidden from the people making buying decisions. She has been a Human Resources (HR) Tech Researcher, Writer & Editor at SelectSoftware Reviews since 2022, following three years recruiting for tech startups and enterprises in Singapore, Australia, India, the UK, the US, and Vietnam, work that put her on the inside of the exact problems she now writes about.
Her research spans four areas: candidate assessment and sourcing technology; global employment infrastructure, including Employer of Record (EOR), Professional Employer Organization (PEO), staffing agency, and payroll systems; the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to hiring and workforce decisions, from resume prescreening through performance evaluation; and hiring bias, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and recruitment ethics, including pay transparency and discriminatory hiring practices.
She has evaluated 120+ HR and recruiting platforms and published 90+ articles and reviews. Her country-level analysis of global employment infrastructure covers the UK, Canada, Singapore, India, Australia, and the Philippines. She co-authors SelectSoftware Reviews' quarterly HR Tech Trend Reports and has produced six editions of its Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Human Resource Information System (HRIS) reports.
Outside SelectSoftware Reviews, Anh researches and speaks on digital transformation and the application of AI in organizational and educational settings.
When she's not working, Anh is usually with her family, writing for her personal blog, or out running with her two dogs, who are laid-back until the moment they decide the run is actually a race.
Her work has been cited by HR tech publications such as ERE Media, e27, theHRDirector, Lever, SmartRecruiters, Hubstaff, Recruiting Daily, and WorkTango.
