We see Remote People as a practical, cost-conscious EOR platform designed for companies that want to hire internationally without overpaying for enterprise-grade features they may not need.
At its core, the platform handles the fundamentals well. During our review, we found that it covers all the expected EOR capabilities: employment contracts, payroll processing, tax compliance, and statutory benefits. Companies can hire employees in over 150 countries without setting up local entities, which removes a major barrier for international expansion.
What stood out most to us, however, was not the core functionality. It was the depth of hiring guidance built into the platform.
When we reviewed several country guides, including markets like Mexico, India, Canada, and the UAE, we found they go well beyond surface-level summaries. They explain labor laws, termination practices, payroll obligations, and even local hiring norms. For companies hiring internationally for the first time, this kind of context is extremely valuable. It helps avoid compliance mistakes and reduces the need for external legal research.
We appreciated the platform’s payroll invoice feature, which breaks down salary components, statutory contributions, reimbursements, and adjustments in a clear manner. Many HR users we spoke with also shared this sentiment, stating that this level of financial transparency made managing the employment costs of EOR hires much less of a hassle.
Another area where Remote People performs well is operational support. Beyond EOR services, the company can assist with IT equipment procurement, background checks, and other logistics tied to distributed teams. That said, Remote People does make some clear trade-offs. The integration ecosystem is limited, especially compared to more mature EOR providers. If your HR stack relies heavily on integrations with HRIS, finance, or recruiting tools, this could be a constraint. And in exchange for the transparent payroll invoices we mentioned earlier, the way adjustments are handled through "regularization" means some changes may appear in future invoices, which can make the month-to-month tracking less straightforward.
We had a great overall experience with customer service, especially the support available via Chat within the platform, which we tested and found quite helpful. Nevertheless, some users we surveyed noted that more complex issues, particularly those concerning labor law or compliance, might take longer to resolve due to the absence of phone support.
