Introduction

We spend hundreds of hours researching the best HR and recruiting software so you don’t have to. We never take money from vendors during our research phase and rely heavily on practitioners and experts to help us recommend the right software. However we may earn a small fee if you click on vendor links on this page.
We chose Nifty because it offers a powerful, affordable project management solution built specifically with Agile principles in mind. Its sprint planning, milestones, and real-time collaboration capabilities stand out in a crowded field. Nifty’s continuous product improvements and strong integrations with time-tracking and communication tools also position it as a great fit for SMBs and remote-first teams.

Nifty is an excellent choice for teams seeking a modern, flexible project management platform with Agile workflows built into its core. Our evaluation revealed that Nifty’s visual roadmaps, milestone tracking, and real-time collaboration tools effectively keep projects on schedule without feeling overly complex or overwhelming.
One of the most refreshing aspects of Nifty is how real-time collaboration is woven into every feature of the tool. We loved the ability to transition from a group chat into a document without having to switch tabs, and then link that document directly to a project milestone. Setting up goal-driven sprints using milestones has significantly simplified our weekly planning meetings. The Roadmap view provided us with a vibrant, color-coded snapshot of our progress against deadlines, allowing us to easily identify momentum or potential warning signs.
The reporting tools were another highlight. With customizable dashboards, we could quickly track open tasks, sprint velocity, and resource allocation at a glance. Additionally, recent updates—such as expanded report exports and improved visibility for task subtasks—have made our reporting even more actionable.
As we explored Nifty’s integrations, it became clear that the platform is committed to ensuring teams stay connected across the tools they already use. The new integrations with Clockify and Toggl are particularly beneficial for those who use these tools for time tracking. On the communication side, the Microsoft Teams integration allows users to trigger project updates directly within their daily chat environment.
However, we occasionally encountered slow load times, particularly when managing larger projects with numerous tasks. It's not a daily headache, but when it happens, it slows down momentum just enough to notice.
The mobile experience also lags behind the polished desktop version. If you’re managing projects on the go, expect some limitations. For example, dragging cards between statuses isn’t as intuitive on mobile as it is on desktop. It's functional, but there's clear room for improvement.
Another watch-out is customer support. While small issues were generally resolved quickly, for anything complex (especially billing questions), some users we talked to said getting a clear answer sometimes took more effort than it should have.
On the customization front, while Nifty covers many core Agile needs beautifully, we’d anticipate teams with very complex or highly specialized workflows may find the platform a bit restrictive. It's flexible enough for most, but not endlessly moldable like some enterprise PM tools.

20,000+ companies, including Emovis, VMware, and IBM.
Nifty offers a free plan (2 projects, 100MB storage, unlimited members) and paid annual plans with 14-day trials: Starter ($39/month, 10 members, 40 projects, 100GB), Pro ($79/month, 20 members, 100 projects, 500GB), Business ($124/month, 50 members, unlimited projects, 1TB), and Unlimited ($399/month, unlimited users/storage).
Nifty is best suited for small to midsize teams looking for a robust Agile project management tool that’s affordable, visually intuitive, and easy to scale. It’s particularly well suited for marketing teams, software developers, product managers, and agencies needing a full-cycle collaboration and tracking solution.
