TalentReef Review

TalentReef combines talent management, recruitment, applicant tracking, onboarding, and employee self-service in one platform. They also provide performance evaluation tools that facilitate performance check-ins and general employee development. One of such tools is flexible training programs that managers can set in place for new hires. The progress of these trainings can also be monitored and evaluated. Which we find noteworthy as not a lot of blue-collar recruiting platforms provide these tools.

Talentreef’s features are specifically designed to help you fill low-complexity hourly roles that usually require candidates to be available to start immediately and possess transferable soft skills such as communication, teamwork, punctuality, or the ability to work under pressure.

For instance, high volume hourly hiring requires speed; a fast application process, because it is a tight labor market with limited applicants. TalentReef increases the favorability of your application with features like their AI-powered conversational chatbot, text recruiting, and automated interview scheduling.

Talentreef’s digital onboarding experience is one of the features managers love about this software. It gives potential hires the ability to interact with and fill a number of forms including section I-9s, W-4s, emergency contact forms, voluntary self-identification of disability, maternity leave forms, and so on. The software then consolidates this information and directs it to any of their compliance integration solutions to verify the correctness of these forms. Managers are always kept in the loop with an interactive dashboard that shows candidate progress as they move through the onboarding funnel.

Who shouldn't buy TalentReef

TalentReef would not work for companies seeking to hire white-collar professionals with significant online presence. It specifically caters to wage workers.

TalentReef: Employee self-service and retention

TalentReef Key Features

  • Branded careers page: With TalentReef, you get an unlimited number of branded career pages, making it possible to build specialized postings for multiple locations. No matter the number of career pages you build, it will come at no added cost to you. These pages integrate with the ATS end of the software so any updates you make on your job posting will automatically reflect on all your career pages.
  • AI Chat Apply: TalentReef provides a conversational AI chatbot that uses natural processing language to engage applicants in the preliminary stages of your hiring process. The chatbot resides as a widget on your branded careers page and it prompts candidates to start the application process. It asks for their personal information and credentials, contact information, position they are interested in, and location, for businesses with multiple outlets. The information collected by this chatbot is routed to the ATS end of the system so you can follow up and run additional checks if you like. Candidates can also schedule their interviews from the AI chatbot. Interestingly, the chatbot can be configured to integrate with numerous parts of the system. So when a candidate scans your QR code or sends a particular text, for example, they can be routed to the AI chatbot, instead of coming directly into the system. Outsourcing the hiring process with this approach saves a lot of time.
  • Compliance: To ensure your compliance with local labor laws, TalentReef has put in place a series of compliance features that evaluates the eligibility of your candidates. These features include E-verify, EEOC compliance forms, federal and state tax forms support, I-9 integration, and so on.
  • Reporting and Analytics: With TalentReef, you get reports that provide insights on time-to-hire metrics, number of applicants coming in from all your sources, training completions, and so on.
  • Employee self-service: TalentReef provides several employee self-services from the hiring process to the retention stage. Prospective candidates can start and finish their application process on a mobile-first platform using either artificially intelligent chatbot, text-to-apply, or QR codes. They can also schedule an interview from their phones and participate in the E-verify eligibility program on the platform. Once hired, employees are prompted to undergo virtual training sessions on the platform that promotes employee development and facilitates engagement.
