Everhour is an intuitive tool nearly exclusively-devoted to time tracking. They stand out for being one of the few time tracking products that makes it possible for you to archive your past projects and access them whenever you want.

In a market where everyone else is trying to combine time tracking with project management, productivity management and so on, Everhour decided to stick mostly to time tracking. Their simple, intuitive solution provides all you will need to track the time you spend on tasks, organize your workflow, and bill your clients. 

Everhour provides seamless API integration with your favorite project, productivity, and employee management software. But this is not to say they do not have some proprietary features of their own. Their task management features help you create and manage tasks on the platform. You can set deadlines for each task and use tags to categorize them for easy organization. 

Everhour Project Templates

Within the platform, projects are usually created with pre-set templates. Of course, you can create custom templates if you like. You can also set tasks, budget estimates, assign team members, set due dates, and add notes within each template. Naturally, these templates can also be copied, with all the information in it, when you want to start a similar project. 

These kinds of well-thought out, sensible features save you the time it’ll take for you to build a project from the ground up. Also, for better visualization, project tasks can be represented as lists or on boards. Everhour ‘s stand-out feature is the ability to archive projects you no longer require easy access to. The tool will preserve the data and make it available to you whenever you need to resurface it again. 

Everhour for Scheduling

From the schedule section on the platform, you can create tasks and assign them to members of your team on a calendar view layout. This view makes it easy for you to see how work stretches out in days for each worker. You can use this feature to see who is currently available or when they will be available and plan accordingly. As your employees track time, it will be reflected on this schedule layout.

Everhour for Expense Tracking

Although we said they focus *almost* exclusively on time tracking, this software tracks expenses too. With this feature, you can attach receipts for expenses relating to transportation, meals, travel, etc. You can also categorize these expenses for better organization. 

This also translates well to having an invoicing tool. Everhour generates invoices based on time tracked and expenses incurred. These can be customized to include the company logo, address, and other brand messaging. 

Their invoices can be downloaded as PDF or sent directly to your clients via email. Another interesting thing about Everhour’s invoicing feature is that it tracks opens. This means the software will notify you whenever your client opens the email (containing the invoice) you send to them.

Everhour Reports

With Everhour, you get up to 10 reports that focus on your project’s budget, costing, team hours, payroll, client profitability and so on. The client profitability report helps you analyze your revenue streams and service costs associated with your clients so you can calculate if you are being profitable or not. 

If you need more than the pre-built reports, you can create custom reports as well. These reports can be downloaded as PDF, CSV, or XLSX files or sent directly via email. You can also schedule the reports to be sent on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. 

Everhour frequently add updates to their system to make their solution as painless and intuitive as possible, especially regarding integration with third-party applications. This year alone, they have released three updates all geared at improving integration. 

To further improve seamless integration, Everhour connects with Zapier to automatically transfer data to over 1000 applications. This is especially useful when you want to analyze time, cost, and team management data in any of your favorite analysis tools.

Everhour is a good option for solo freelancers and small teams that want a simple time tracking software.

Everhour founder Mikhail Kulakov initially founded an IT outsourcing company called Weavora. Like all outsourcing businesses, Mikhail and his team had to report to clients on the hours spent on each project and also issue invoices. This proved tedious to him and his team when they couldn’t find a suitable software that fit their specific needs, and was affordable. That’s when the idea of a time tracking software came to be.

In June 2013, he and his small team released a prototype and took it to market. They were initially focused on their outsourcing company while running Everhour on the side, but in 2015, they decided to make a full-fledged business out of the product. Which turned out to be a smart decision as the company makes a gross revenue of about $1.5 million per year as of Summer 2022.
