Talentify Review

Talentify uses machine learning to understand your current job spend, and then optimize it through cutting underperforming job slots and drastically increasing conversion rates into the ATS by offering a mobile-first candidate experience.

What users think of Talentify

Reviewer's Rating
7/10

I used it three times a week. It was integrated into our ATS, so there was no need to log in every day while recruiting, which was an excellent feature. They are very strict with security and password updates.

I stayed on standby in case I had to modify something in the posts, adjust landing pages, or add more openings when needed. Any changes made would take effect immediately.

What do you like about Talentify?
  • It provides greater visibility for your company.
  • It increases exposure on social media.
  • Their analytics and integration with your ATS are very effective.
Why did your organization buy Talentify, and how long have you used it for?

For recruitment branding purposes, the company wanted exposure in the dental care sector. Since the company has a poor reputation and high turnover, we wanted to try a new way of marketing our job postings. It was a very niche request, and they considered Talentify for a one-year trial period.

The tool was very good at Boolean searches and selecting the targeted population. I used it for over six months.

What do you dislike about Talentify?
  • Candidates often complained about receiving text messages.
  • The quality of candidates was poor, and sometimes the budget was spent on unqualified applicants.
  • You have to be very specific about candidate requirements and needs, especially in healthcare, to achieve better results.
How is Talentify different than their competitors?

It does not require forced contracts, provides real-time metrics, and offers easy integration with your ATS.

What Instructions should people think about when buying this type of tool?

It is an excellent tool for handling a high volume of openings, but it is not recommended for small companies or those with highly niche roles or industries.

If you need to advertise your openings, this tool is a good fit, but if you want to optimize your hiring process, it is not the right choice, as it is not a robust ATS.

It can be a great starting point if you want to integrate AI into your hiring process.

How has Talentify changed or evolved over time to meet users needs?

I like that they integrated AI to predict when you may fail to fill an opening on time, allowing you to adjust and prevent wasting budget without achieving results. It began mainly as a recruitment branding tool but has advanced in terms of metrics and analytics for recruitment.

What specific type of user or organization is Talentify very good for?

It works well for companies with a high volume of openings and for organizations with multiple locations. It is also suitable for companies with a small talent acquisition department but more than 100 openings at once, as long as they already have an ATS in place.

What specific type of user or organization would Talentify not be a good fit for?

It is not a good fit for small companies with fewer than 50 openings per year, consulting firms, C-level executive hires, or companies that do not invest in marketing, since the tool focuses on brand exposure.

5/10

Talentify was used for applicant tracking and application organization. It helped reduce the workload and saved time by requiring only one posting across multiple platforms. The dashboard showed the phase each applicant was in and helped move the process along more efficiently.

Applicants and hires mentioned that the process felt smoother and user-friendly. When ads were paid for, it clearly showed where the money went and how the job was promoted.

What do you like about Talentify?

I liked the ease of use and the clean interface. The job posting process was efficient and time-saving. Pricing was very affordable.

Why did your organization buy Talentify, and how long have you used it for?

I used Talentify in a former role for about two years. The primary pain point we aimed to solve with Talentify was the applicant organization. The workflow after someone applied was disorganized, and we also needed greater visibility into our open roles.

The most helpful feature was the ability to post a job to multiple platforms at once. The real-time tracking and dashboard contributed to a more effective recruiting process.

What do you dislike about Talentify?

The Setup was not as smooth as expected and could have been better. Some candidates mentioned that the emails appeared suspicious or spam-like. Many applicants started their applications but did not finish them.

How is Talentify different than their competitors?

Talentify is mobile-friendly, which is not true for all competitors. Its AI features and tech-forward design are also beneficial.

What Instructions should people think about when buying this type of tool?

Size and recruiting needs are important considerations. If the company is not large and does not hire frequently, this tool may not be necessary or cost-effective.

How has Talentify changed or evolved over time to meet users needs?

AI integration has been a valuable addition.

What specific type of user or organization is Talentify very good for?

Midsized to large organizations that are planning for significant growth can benefit greatly from Talentify.

What specific type of user or organization would Talentify not be a good fit for?

Smaller organizations that do not hire many employees each year may not find value in Talentify.

We used it by having them work with our current postings and reposting through their platform with their assistance in optimization. It was used only to optimize Indeed because their complete SEO program was $25K/month if you wanted assistance with that. I believe the executive team did not understand the distinction when choosing this platform.

Talentify did much of the work itself while we were able to review candidates. I did not have to assist much after the initial setup. If I had to quantify how often I used it, I'd say daily, since it is automated.

What do you like about Talentify?

The system worked well and was easy to use once it was set up. It optimized the algorithms Indeed used, which should pull out optimal candidates and push our postings toward them.

I liked the use of keywords and how it better integrated them into titles and job descriptions. I also appreciated how it helped rewrite the postings I had been using. It made me think of other ways to structure ads, and I am very set in my ways with consistency, perfect spelling, and grammar in all my postings.

Why did your organization buy Talentify, and how long have you used it for?

My company wanted to try Talentify to see if their attempt at optimizing Indeed was better than my own efforts. We tended to get the same applicants repeatedly after we had rejected them because we were looking in limited pools based on the recruiting budget. The executive team insisted on trying it, although I was wholly against it, so I gave in and gave it a try.

I used it for the two-month full trial period before committing to a $5K/month price tag for the Indeed Optimization package. We wanted to see an increase in applications that were fully qualified and met the preferred details, including experience in the sub-specialty of our positions.

What do you dislike about Talentify?

The first thing I didn't just dislike but was shocked by was the steep price for the small package we purchased. My company was missing a recruiter who would normally handle these types of actions, but I was spread too thin to spend the necessary time.

I was under the impression it would disperse postings to other job boards, too, but that wasn't the case. I didn't feel the time spent onboarding us as a client was sufficient to really understand what their program was doing compared to what AI could do for free today.

How is Talentify different than their competitors?

I haven't used a tool that is quite as targeted as this platform. Since it is so unique, I was used to posting jobs on job boards directly and having the worse experience of our ATS posting them on various boards.

What Instructions should people think about when buying this type of tool?

I highly suggest that if you are going to use this tool, you sign up for the free trial before committing to a contract to see if it is suitable for your company size and budget. Be clear about what the price includes, and consider how many other ways you could spend this money each month.

I'd also use the free trial to test AI on your job postings to gain a different perspective than you have today.

How has Talentify changed or evolved over time to meet users needs?

I didn't use it long enough to say whether it has evolved, but I am guessing with the growth of AI, it is evolving even as you read this.

What specific type of user or organization is Talentify very good for?

Talentify would probably work well for a larger organization that can use all the features, including the SEO package at a total of $25K per month. I think companies with this budget could also hire a full-time SEO employee at a much lower cost.

What specific type of user or organization would Talentify not be a good fit for?

I don't believe this is a good fit for smaller companies. I didn't see an increase in the quality or quantity of specialty candidates. I believe a small or even medium-sized company could use those dollars elsewhere.
