HCM Technology Report looks back at where we started and where we are now as a workforce during a pandemic. Work days are an average of 48 minutes longer. Companies are claiming the same or higher levels of productivity despite not being in office. But family responsibilities are shifting too, with most child care centers closing their doors and many schools staying online.
Tech companies have mitigated problems with front-line workers, remote onboarding, unemployment assistance and much more. How will they rise to the challenge of the lengthening work day versus growing childcare responsibilities?
HR consulting and analytics firm Talent Plus, Inc. announced its new Advisors Network on September 15. The service aims to provide current and future partners with access to experts in various industries to help with business growth, strategic planning, and executive coaching sessions.
President of Talent Plus Makenzie Rath is excited to nurture relationships with their expert advisors, saying “We are celebrating their contributions as a part of this elite network with capabilities that will allow our colleagues to grow, clients to thrive, candidates to engage and communities to prosper .”
Connected worker software company Augemtir announced on September 9 that they are providing their AI-based services to Hunter Industries, global manufacturer of residential and commercial irrigation products.
Yunior Murillo, Operations Training Supervisor for Hunter, highlighted the importance of innovation to their performance, stating “The operational insights provided by Augmentir’s AI allow us to focus our training efforts on individuals that need them most and intelligently guide our technicians in their day-to-day activities.”
Leader in people analytics Visier announced more product capabilities that were included with a release this summer. “This is the stepping stone to offer Visier Cloud as a complete open ecosystem,” said CEO Ryan Wong in a press release. His aim is to have new applications built from their analytics foundation “help global organizations see the truth in their data.”
The new functions are designed to empower companies to further develop their employees, utilizing updates including:
Twelve pre-built analyses that give summarized views of business concerns, giving leaders an overview of the state of their organization.
Tracking of custom cohorts over time to measure the impact of shared experience on outcomes.
New “What-If” Models, including a metric to check the cost of replacement for a departed employee.
Learning analytics that teach users about different metrics and how to use them.
Because of the pandemic, remote interviews have become essential to HR teams. Spark Hire, one of the leading providers of video interview software, recently announced the hiring of it’s first EMEA region team in the UK to continue their upward growth.
Founder and CEO Josh Tolan is looking forward to adding a “local touch” to the growing UK customer base, saying “We’ve seen significant growth abroad, as Spark Hire is quickly becoming the premier software solution for video interviewing across European markets.” An office in Melbourne, Australia opened earlier this year as well.
