PROS
- One assessment covers aptitude, motivations, and 13 personality traits, and candidates don’t have to retake it for a new role.
- Custom benchmarking with four methods, from a library of 100+ positions to top-performer studies, set the standard each candidate is scored against.
- Job-Fit reports pair an overall suitability score with targeted interview questions for every trait that misses the benchmark.
- Essentials pricing is published, starts at $195 per month, and comes with a free trial.
- Cognitive sections support a double-time accommodation for candidates who need it.
CONS
- Only Essentials pricing is published on the website. Standard and Premium pricing requires a quote.
- Job-Fit reports include an interview guide, but Prevue doesn’t offer video or AI-assisted interviewing.
- Assessments aren’t live-proctored, so test integrity relies on copy-paste blocking, timers, randomized questions, and a candidate honesty statement.

During our demo, the Prevue HR team walked us through a full candidate cycle. A candidate completes one assessment covering aptitude, motivations, and personality, and Prevue can then score that profile against your own custom benchmarks or any of the 100+ positions in its prebuilt library, from bank teller to legal aid to security officer, without a retest. One thing we loved, the same data lets teams evaluate current employees for internal moves and succession planning.
Benchmarks are another area where Prevue stood out. Cammas Freeman, founder of Stackrock Talent, told our April 2026 assessments webinar that an assessment should be built around "who are the high performers" in the role rather than what a hiring manager assumes it needs. Prevue's top-performer study does exactly that with as few as 2 current employees, and its combined method adds a short survey of 1 to 5 hiring managers. Teams without either can start from that library of 100+ positions, which is built and managed by Prevue's industrial-organizational psychologists.
Most HRs and recruiters we talk to also stress that an assessment only helps if the team understands what each score means. The sample Job-Fit report we reviewed does a good job of explaining every trait in plain language. It also added interview questions for each gap, but still emphasizes that managers weigh the score as one-third of the hiring decision. Of course, in reality, like with most candidate assessment tools, the customer success team is ready to help if you need some guidance with the first reports you need to review.
Compared with Infor Talent Science, which requires 500+ employees, or Criteria, which only has custom pricing, Prevue publishes an entry price and offers a free trial. Prevue says most customers use the Premium plan, which includes integrations, API access, and custom benchmarks and is priced by quote.
