JazzHR is a cloud-based recruiting solution that’s specifically built for small and medium-sized businesses. Through it, you can build custom-branded career pages, post jobs to multiple free and paid job boards, and share those posted jobs on various social media sites for maximum reach.
Once candidates apply for your posted jobs, JazzHR enables you to track how far they have progressed through your hiring process through customizable recruiting stages and workflows. You can also communicate with candidates who applied for your posted jobs without leaving JazzHR. Not to mention, several email responses, such as interview scheduling requests and progress notifications, can be automated so you’re able to spend your time on more important tasks.
We like that JazzHR has pre-integrated offer management features. You can choose from several existing offer letter templates, or customize one yourself and share it with successful candidates. You can also collect e-signatures without needing to integrate JazzHR with third-party tools.
We do, however, have to dock a few points from JazzHR for lacking a mobile app. While some features of JazzHR such as candidate quick screen and interview guides have been optimized for mobile browser access, it’s rather a hassle for hiring managers to get to those features on mobile browsers vs on a dedicated mobile app. And as companies are increasingly seeking mobile-first recruiting strategies to save time and reach candidates where they are, having a mobile app to your recruiting software becomes a necessity, not an accessory.
Overall, we think that several SMBs can find value in JazzHR’s offering. If you’re looking for an affordable recruiting solution with features for candidate sourcing, applicant tracking, and offer management (and you can get past the lack of a mobile app), then JazzHR is definitely worth checking out.

We use Jazz HR daily. We have our options set up to provide notifications for each new applicant for each position we have posted. More than 90% of our recent hires have been recruited and selected using JazzHR. As for workflows, we use JazzHR to post jobs, identify qualified candidates, contact candidates for additional information or to schedule interviews, and to notify candidates of non-selection or selection. Occasionally we use JazzHR to identify candidates for positions we have not yet posted.

JazzHR is really easy to use. It is very intuitive, with tabs being pretty self explanatory. JassHR also posts on multiple job boards and pulls quality candidates from those job boards as well, expanding our reach to prospective hires. It is very easy to read and download resumes, and we can quickly share the applications with others within our team who need to view them. The price for the service is also reasonable. There was a price increase this year but we felt it was still more than worth it. JazzHR also integrates with our HRIS, Zenefits, which is an additional benefit.
We bought JazzHR because we wanted to streamline our recruiting process. Being in the federal contracting and acquisition space, we get quite a few opportunities to fill vacancies. Our company needed to be able to identify qualified candidates quickly. We also wanted to use an applicant tracking system that hosted candidates from multiple sources. Our first experience with JazzHR was in late 2021 and we purchased a subscription in 2022. We've been happy with the service and often refer colleagues and other businesses to JazzHR.
It can sometimes take longer than expected to receive feedback or a response from a JazzHR rep. We also have noticed that the system freezes more frequently than expected. We can usually work around this by simply logging out and back in but it seems to be a JazzHR issue since this happens on different computers as well as different networks. We would like to see more customizable features so that the look of JazzHR has more of a personalized feel.
JazzHR provides more candidates than competitors and it has a much lower cost. We also like the ability to customize templates when responding to candidates without having to pay an additional fee or select a higher priced subscription. JazzHR is also much easier to navigate than Monster and Indeed, and candidates have shared that when using JazzHR directly, it is easier to upload resumes and apply than other services.
If you want a low cost option that checks off most if not all of the boxes, consider JazzHR. If you need fast customer service responses, then you might want to try a different provider who can accommodate that. If you don't need a highly personalized home page, JazzHR is a good option especially for the price. Overall, JazzHR is our favorite resource for our recruiting needs.

JazzHR was the only tool that we used in the organization. As a recruiter, majorly all my work was done through JazzHR. Some of the key workflows of JazzHR which I used daily were- Job Creation and Posting (creating job postings with relevant details like job title, and descriptions and then publishing them to various job boards and career sites.
Another workflow was Applicant Tracking which was a centralized platform for all the candidate profiles with detailed information. I used to daily review and screen candidates from JazzHR and then move candidates through different stages of the hiring pipeline (e.g., screening, interview, offer) to track their progress.
Scheduling and coordinating interviews with candidates was another major workflow that I used regularly. JazzHR also helped in sharing candidate profiles with other recruiters, Hiring Managers and we could even exchange notes about the candidates through that tool. It helped us in communication and collaboration.

I have used the JazzHR tool for one year throughout my tenure in the company. We evaluated the organization's needs, priorities, and budget and hence went with JazzHR as our ATS.
Compared with three different tools, JazzHR had to offer the best price (cost-efficient). It also has a User-Friendly Interface making it easy for both recruiters and hiring managers to navigate and utilize the system. JazzHR is also integrated with numerous job boards like Linkedin, Indeed, Zip Recruiter, etc making it easy for recruiters to reach out to a wider pool of candidates when they apply.
The organization is a small organization with less than 100 employees. It is also a pretty new company, we weren't sure about other tools thus JazzHR stood out because it offers a monthly subscription. Not all tools offer monthly subscriptions. It's easier for new organizations who want to try new tools to first enroll for a monthly subscription rather than a yearly subscription.
I have also used other tools similar to JazzHR and I believe that there are a lot of advanced features which were there in other ATS but were not present in JazzHR. For larger organizations, it could be a limitation.
Sometimes when filing a ticket with JazzHR on any issues, they are a little slow in replying and resolving.
It also has some limitations on integrating with certain HRIS platforms.
JazzHR stands out as an HR tool, it has several cons but the advantages stand out. I personally like this tool but again it depends on the organization's needs and priorities. For small businesses, it is a great option but for larger companies it can vary. I quickly could adopt to the tool and also had a smooth user experience.
The very first criteria to consider when buying this tool is the pricing and value for money. Understanding JazzHR's pricing structure, including any additional costs for extra features or users. Evaluate the same pricing in relation to the value and features offered by the competitors. Also, the organization's needs and priorities if/whether it is been fulfilled by JazzHR.
Changes and updates regularly happen in JazzHR. JazzHR has been adapting to various technological advancements. From the time I started working on the tool, there were a lot of great changes in the workflows ensuring that the recruiter has a smooth process.
JazzHR really works for small and medium organizations
This tool may not be a good fit for large organizations and even complex organizations that are looking for advanced features.
I use JazzHR daily. We utilize it as an applicant tracking system. We are able to post a job and have it posted to multiple job boards. We also communicate with candidates via the platform. In addition, we set up workflows/automation to move candidates through the pipeline.

I prefer that JazzHR is easy to follow compared to other ATSs’ whose dashboard views are overwhelming and difficult to navigate.
They should consider the integrations they want to use. JazzHR has great workflows and integrations but the setup is very manual and somewhat limited compared to other competitors. They should also consider the number of users needing access as this can be limited depending on the plan chosen
