Introduction

We spend hundreds of hours researching the best HR and recruiting software so you don’t have to. We never take money from vendors during our research phase and rely heavily on practitioners and experts to help us recommend the right software. However we may earn a small fee if you click on vendor links on this page.
Career Agents stood out for its human-led outplacement model, a deliberate contrast to the AI-heavy direction most vendors are heading. For employers who want real coaching at the center of the experience, it's worth a serious look.

Most outplacement vendors are racing toward automation. Career Agents is going the other direction, and they're pretty open about it. Each participant gets paired with a dedicated career expert who actively works with them on job search strategy, outreach, and positioning. It feels less like a SaaS product and more like having a knowledgeable person in your corner.
That said technology isn't absent, just secondary. The newly launched software platform (which we saw in demo) acts as a support layer rather than the core product. It allows employers and candidates to track job search progress, access insights, and even query status updates through light AI functionality. While still early-stage, we found it to be a functional and well-thought out complement to the service.
One thing we appreciated is the level of transparency in how they operate. Communication with their team was direct and candid, and this aligns with what we’ve seen in user feedback; generally positive experiences centered around responsiveness and personalized support.
The honest tradeoff: this model doesn't scale cheaply. It's not built for high-volume, cost-sensitive layoffs, and the quality of experience will naturally hinge on the individual agent. But for organizations that want departing employees to feel genuinely supported — not just processed — Career Agents makes a strong case.

Their outplacement services have been used by companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, Google, and Marriott.
- Custom pricing based on scope, volume, and level of support.
- No publicly listed plans or baseline rates available.
- Likely tailored per engagement, request a demo for details.
Career Agents is best for organizations that prioritize personalized, high-touch outplacement support and want career coaching to be the centerpiece of the experience, not software.
