Adding to this, features like a real-time recognition feed and commenting do shine via the mobile app. This makes Reward Gateway a good bet for teams with frontline workers, as there are few companies in the rewards space that have decidedly catered to this type of workplace too.

I used Reward Gateway primarily to send and approve peer recognition, track point balances, and monitor how managers were using recognition with their teams.

We primarily use Reward Gateway for employee wellness challenges. We also send a wellness newsletter to employees and incorporate some of Reward Gateway’s content. The included social feed is great—many employees shared photos of how they got their steps in.
Last year, we hosted a steps challenge; this year, we tracked active minutes to create a more level playing field. We also use the tool for recognition by awarding prizes to winners and participants.
The support and implementation team is very helpful when launching a new wellness challenge. There are many customization options for challenge types, team sizes, and tracked metrics. Reward Gateway works well for a global team and can randomly assign teams to encourage cross-department and cross-location interaction.
Wellness is a key part of our EVP, and we have been running an annual May Movement challenge for employees around the globe. We previously managed the challenge using spreadsheets before implementing Reward Gateway. We have used it for two years.
In the first year, we used the tool only for the annual challenge; this year, we upgraded to two challenges and gained access to additional resources such as recipes, workouts, and meditations. This tool supports our wellbeing strategy and garnered strong participation in our most recent movement challenge.
I like the feed where people share photos and comments, but I wish Reward Gateway could integrate with Teams. I would prefer an option for employees to create and join their own challenges rather than having only HR-led global challenges.
