One of its strengths lies in virtual career fairs. Employers can showcase their brand through webinars and digital content, promote job openings via a customizable Job Board module, conduct real-time resume reviews, shortlist candidates, and even hold live video interviews.

But what is even more interesting about vFairs is their dedication to creating realistic virtual environments, including venues, lobbies, exhibit halls, and auditoriums. In a recent update, they've introduced networking lounges. These lounges allow avatars to interact via audio and video, replicating the spontaneous conversations that occur at physical events.

vFairs has also stepped into the in-person events, offering tools for registration, ticketing, check-in, badge printing, and marketing materials. This package includes a custom mobile app for attendees to network, attend webinars, explore exhibitors, share virtual business cards, and check in during the event.

The event setup process might take some time, and some users desire more independence in this process. In response, the vendor is working on a drag-and-drop landing page builder and a 3D room builder to help hosts independently develop their events.

We had to hire several hundred hourly positions to start within a week, and vFairs helped us get it advertised with a professional landing page. We put up pre-recorded messages about the company so candidates could learn about us while waiting. We utilized the chat for quick questions. We had teams of recruiters talking to the "A" candidates, and coordinators making appointments for the next day with the "B" candidates. Candidates scheduled appointments themselves, the lobby was full all day, and the response was great. All hires were made, and we had a pipeline to work from too!

What do you like about this tool?

I like the self-scheduling feature right in the tool; very nice! The reporting and tracking information available is invaluable! The integrations (Slido, Zoom) and fun additions like trivia are great!

Why did your organization buy this tool, and how long have you used it for?

The cost of having recruiters and managers at job fairs all over the country had become excessive. Candidates have busy schedules, and attending an in-person job fair can impose significant strain on them. vFairs offers a virtual fair solution that works well for both the employer and candidate. It can be used on a desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone. The candidate can reserve a time to speak with a recruiter or pop in whenever it's convenient to learn about the company and decide if they are interested in applying. They can upload a resume on the vFairs app, and a recruiter will get in touch with them. The reporting and tracking capabilities are impressive.

What do you dislike about this tool?

Sometimes the lobby gets backed up, and as a recruiter, it is hard to know what to do to avoid candidates getting frustrated. When candidates don't upload a resume or have technical difficulties that aren't resolved, especially if things get busy, they will be the last to get looked at. The candidate search doesn't display many files at one time, requiring lots of clicking.

How is this tool different than their competitors?

vFairs has come a long way and made many improvements over the past few years. They have added features that make the user feel heard. vFairs is by far the better virtual job fair/event management platform out there today.

What Instructions should people think about when buying this type of tool?

The features available all in one tool mean your recruiters don't have to go back and forth from a spreadsheet to their email to the tool to figure out what is going on. The candidate can schedule appointments right from the app, and your recruiter can see that as soon as it is scheduled, see the resume, and be prepared for that interview. This provides a professional, high-end look and feel for the candidate from the start. The ease of use on your end will carry that message through to the end because your team will have seamless information on that candidate with this system.

How has this tool changed or evolved over time to meet users needs?

They have added integrations like Slido, which helps the employer get ready for the big day. They have added features to engage the candidate like trivia and a scavenger hunt. You can email and schedule interviews from inside the system now. The tracking and reporting are robust and useful. There is more customer support. Well done!

I can't imagine any type of organization that wouldn't benefit from vFairs!

If you are a small business that doesn’t host events that often and the majority of your events are on a small scale attendee-wise, a solution like vFairs is probably overkill for your company.
