PROS

There are both pros and cons to using GoHire.io. Let's take a look at some of the most important ones:

  • One user appreciated the in-app messaging and email saying “Great templating for messages and emails.” They further liked the fact that they were able to control the on-boarding process as well as display jobs on the website.
  • The platform is easy to use and helps businesses keep track of their hiring process by providing them with tools to manage job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and offer management.
  • GoHire.io makes it possible to post jobs on multiple job boards giving the user a wide variety of applicants. Therefore, hiring managers and founders can manage the applicants from numerous job boards on one platform. One user stated that they used to receive three job applications for €12.8 when using LinkedIn Jobs paid advertisements, but are now receiving 50+ applicants every month for free while using GoHire.
  • The HR team appreciates that GoHire.io has a responsive customer support team. One user even appreciated that they were happy that their feedback was taken seriously and implemented on the ATS.

CONS

  • GoHire.io does not support sending SMS to the applicants.
  • While GoHire.io has received a lot of positive feedback about its platform, a significant number of users who had bought lifetime deals via AppSummo felt let down when the company discontinued the plan despite stating that it was a lifetime deal.
  • One user complained that they were not able to upload multiple file formats for candidates. They were only able to upload PDF files.

GoHire Review

GoHire.io is an ATS focused on small businesses that are looking for a cost effective way to maximize their hiring potential. The company offers multi-site job-listings to increase the number of potential applicants a company can receive from one job post. The platform also has extra features such as candidate screening, candidate ranking as well as candidate messaging.

The company aggregates all the data from all the job boards into one platform making it easier to interact and interpret it in reports during the hiring process. The user is able to analyze the candidate performance from the evaluation questionnaire.

The product targets small businesses with limited human resource personnel looking to automate most of the major HR functions. The set up for the platform is simple, and complimented by an elaborate guide.

In 2018, GoHire.io introduced a lifetime pal in conjunction with AppSumo, a website that offers deeply discounted software products to help businesses grow and scale. The AppSumo/GoHire.io lifetime deal gave users access to the platform for a one-time payment of $49.

Despite stating that the lifetime deal was precisely that, GoHire.io discontinued the plan shortly after its introduction. This left a bad taste in many users who felt misled and let down by the company.

Even with this setback, GoHire.io has continued growing and improving its platform. In 2019, they launched a new version of their software with enhancements like an improved user interface, better candidate management features, and integrations with popular job boards like Indeed and LinkedIn.

If you're looking for a comprehensive hiring solution that can post open positions across several platforms GoHire.io is worth checking out. Just be sure to read the fine print on any deals or discounts before you commit!

What users think of GoHire

Reviewer's Rating
8/10

We use GoHire to manage our recruitment efforts. It helps us create and post job listings efficiently. GoHire also distributes job postings across multiple job boards, saving us a lot of time. We heavily rely on its applicant tracking features to streamline the hiring process and optimize both recruiters’ and applicants’ time. Overall, it allows us to get new hires into our system more quickly, increasing our talent pool and accelerating the hiring process.

What do you like about this tool?
  • A single job post in GoHire connects us to multiple job boards, improving visibility.
  • The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate.
  • The pricing is much more affordable compared to our previous solution, making it a great fit for our company.
Why did your organization buy this tool, and how long have you used it for?

We chose GoHire because we were looking for a new recruiting tool that would be easy for our recruiters to use without any issues. We have used it for about a year and a half. We wanted to ensure we had a tool that was user-friendly, included all the necessary features for hiring and recruiting, and, most importantly, was simple for both recruiters and employees to navigate.

Overall, it has been a great purchase. It has significantly reduced manual recruitment tasks. We have also seen an improvement in the quality of talent entering our recruiting funnel.

What do you dislike about this tool?
  • The platform lacks AI-powered tools, though it seems they are working on this.
  • Integration options are limited, making it difficult to connect with HRIS systems.
  • Workflow customization is minimal, which can be restrictive for companies with specific hiring processes.
How is this tool different than their competitors?

GoHire stands out because of its simplicity, affordability, and focus on small to mid-sized businesses. Compared to larger tools like Workable or Greenhouse, GoHire provides a more straightforward experience without the complexity of enterprise-level features, which can be overwhelming or unnecessary for smaller teams. Its pricing is also more competitive, making it accessible to organizations with limited budgets.

What Instructions should people think about when buying this type of tool?

When purchasing a recruitment tool, consider factors such as ease of use, pricing, hiring metrics, and external integrations. It is also important to evaluate your overall workflow and identify the specific challenges you are trying to address. If integration with other systems is a priority, this tool may not be the best fit. However, if your goal is to streamline the hiring process for a small business, GoHire could be a great solution.

How has this tool changed or evolved over time to meet users needs?

One significant improvement is the enhanced job board integration, allowing a single job post to be distributed across multiple platforms. Reporting and analytics have also improved over time, providing more valuable and actionable data.

What specific type of user or organization is this tool very good for?

GoHire is ideal for small businesses and growing teams that need a simple, cost-effective recruitment solution. Startups, in particular, would benefit from its affordability and ease of use.

What specific type of user or organization would this tool not be a good fit for?

GoHire may not be the best fit for large enterprises. Companies with a high volume of daily hires may find it lacking in advanced features and integration capabilities.

We recently got started with Gohire, we use it to post jobs daily and recruit suppliers. Gohire provides us with the prospect information which we then use to communicate with the prospect and and assist them with getting started. We also review their credentials and experience to see if they would be a good fit from Gohire. It's also used to help coordinate which prospects should be communicated with on what days.

What do you like about this tool?
  • The calendar feature assists with keeping everything organized
  • The ability to post unlimited jobs allows us to have a wider reach
  • The interface is super simple and clean

Why did your organization buy this tool, and how long have you used it for?

We needed to diversify the platforms used to recruit suppliers (Freelance tutors). It's difficult to do so since almost every job posting platform has limits on the number of active jobs that can be posted at any given time. Gohire allows unlimited job posts on their most expensive plan which allows for us to recruit more candidates in many subject areas. It also has many features which make the recruiting process a lot easier..

What do you dislike about this tool?
  • We need more detailed analytics on the recruitment process
  • We need more channels to connect with support

How is this tool different than their competitors?

The tool integrates a lot of AI features which makes the recruitment process a lot smoother

What Instructions should people think about when buying this type of tool?

When buying this tool think about all of the functionality that you want it to have. This tool can complete practically almost all of the first level recruitment process

How has this tool changed or evolved over time to meet users needs?
What specific type of user or organization is this tool very good for?

This would be a good for a team that leverages technology and AI

What specific type of user or organization would this tool not be a good fit for?

It wouldn't be a good for a team that doesn't significantly leverage AI and tech

Gohire is our one stop shop for our recruiting efforts. We use it to post job openings on several websites. Then when we get a funnel we use it for applicant tracking and for the entire team to give feedback on applicants as they go through our recruiting process

What do you like about this tool?
  • Post jobs on multiple sites with one click.
  • Has a great app to allow our recruiters to have access anywhere.
  • Has a great scheduling feature to schedule an applicant through our whole process.
Why did your organization buy this tool, and how long have you used it for?

We have used Gohire for about two years now. We were looking for an all in one recruiting platform that would allow us to have a one stop shop. Prior to getting Gohire we had a different software for scheduling and applicant tracking. We also did not want to keep spending the manhours posting on different platforms.

What do you dislike about this tool?

Really not much to dislike. We have to pay per user and would like to have a few more users on it. If your job is not carefully filtered the amount of applicants can be overwhelming.

How is this tool different than their competitors?

GoHire’s ability to work with so many different platforms makes it ahead of their competitors. We prefer using GoHire over competitors for a one stop shop

What Instructions should people think about when buying this type of tool?

How many users they will need to have in their process. If they need extra tools such as scheduling.

How has this tool changed or evolved over time to meet users needs?

GoHire has done a great job streamlining the hiring process and integrating with more platforms where talent can be found.

What specific type of user or organization is this tool very good for?

Any organization that needs to hire multiple applicants frequently.

What specific type of user or organization would this tool not be a good fit for?

Smaller business or companies that do not need to hire several applicants.

We like GoHire for its accuracy in staying in touch with candidates and keeping everything in one place. I’ve used it for 5 years. Everyone has access to files along with the hiring manager.

What do you dislike about this tool?

The database could provide more space without you asking for more space. I would like to custom add sections that are more helpful to my business specifically. I wish more of my peers used it because it would make it easier for us to share data.

How is this tool different than their competitors?

You don’t have to have a ton of training to use the software; it’s user friendly and makes suggestions on how to best accomplish things.
